Whole Brain Teaching Has Changed My Life!

I'm back after a crazy few days of school! I had a rough start to the year, but oh my has it turned around!

I started Whole Brain Teaching this year after hearing about it from my sister. The kiddos are absolutely loving it and are catching on! It has been a major life saver. Those of you who have never heard of whole brain teaching better go check it out! You will be glad you did! Come join me in teacher heaven! Whole Brain Teaching Website

So far I have introduced the five rules; class, yes; teach, okay; ten finger woo; mighty oh yeah; mighty groan; and the scoreboard. Tomorrow I will be teaching mirror and mirror words since I accidentally forgot about them until watching videos of WBT after school today! Oops! I also need to teach hands and eyes!

Sorry it's so short, but I have to get back to that life as a teacher!

Let's Celebrate Back to School

What a great first day back it was, though it was only for teachers! It was so great to be back at work! By the end of the day I had a massive headache though so I didn't take the time to take pictures of my classroom. I guess those will have to wait until tomorrow.

Even though I have the headache I did decide I would still post my new clipart for you and continue my Back to School Freebies one more day! Once again, please remember to leave feedback!

Monday Made It (Last one for August)!

I am linking up once again with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her last weekly Monday Made It of the summer.

#1:
Robot Pointer Holder
I took an old container that used to hold my birthday straws and covered it with robot scrapbook paper and mod podge. I then added a portion of a feather boa for a little extra cuteness. I love how it turned out.

#2:
My rocking chair makeover.
This rocking chair used to be orange and it had scuff marks all over it.
I decided it needed an update so I painted it purple!
I love it so much more now!

#3:
Boxes for supplies.
I created some boxes to hold the supplies that will be collected and kept in my storage room.
I wrapped three cardboard boxes with wrapping paper and added label signs to the front indicating what should go in the box (currently they are holding the gifts for students.

#4:
These are the gift bags I made for my new kiddos.
Each bag contains glow sticks, robot stickers, bookmark, pencil, flipflop erasers, pencil cap erasers, and a stencil.

#5:
Tags for apples for the parents. I am waiting a couple more days before buying the apples.
The sticker labels will be stuck on the apple and the apple cards will be attached to the stem with tulle.
If you like these check out my blog tomorrow because they will be featured as my freebie for the day.

Speaking for daily freebies; go check mine out and remember to leave feedback. Thanks!

Back to School Blogger Exchange Package Reveal

I recently participated in the Back to School Blogger Exchange hosted by Covered in Glitter and Glue and Adventures of Ms. Smith. I am linking up today to reveal my package that I received!

I was so lucky to be paired up with Ashley over at That's So Second Grade! It was so much fun shopping for her as you may have seen in my earlier post.

I was so excited yesterday when I found out my package from her had arrived. It was super cute on the outside, but I didn't take pictures of that because the mailman thought it was a good idea to put it out where it would get soaking wet instead of putting it where it would be protected from the rain. Needless to say, it was soaking wet since it sat in the rain.

Here is what I found inside (luckily, it was mostly dry; the note was a little wet, but not too bad and nothing else was)
Look at all of that loveliness!

Now for the pictures of each item inside:
Absolutely adorable personalized notecards with clipart that I just had to get after seeing.
I am in love with these and cannot wait to use them!

Fun pencils! I love all of the colors!

eos lip balm! (OMG I love this lip balm so it was awesome when I saw it in my package! My bloggy buddy must have really known me!)

A pack of gum! I always keep gum handy in my desk so this will be a great addition.

A robot note holder. The notes are the size of post-its so when they run out I can slip in some of my post-its from me stash of them!

A robot notepad! I have several robot items in this brand, but hadn't found these so I was definitely thrilled to get them!

Stickers (some have robots on them)!

There you have it! My wonderful package from Ashley!

Thank you oh so much Ashley! You did a fabulous job!

Now onto my Back to School Freebie-a-Day celebration:

Remember if you download to please leave some feedback!

Another Round of FREEBIES for You!

I have been enjoying the past couple of days relaxing before going back to school next week. I am excited to be going back, but decided that I needed to take some time to relax so I don't end up sick from exhaustion. The hubby and I are getting ready to go hang out with my siblings and nephew so I am leaving you with today's freebies.

But first I want to share that my Back to School Blogger Exchange Buddy did a wonderful job with my package that I received today. Unfortunately it got a little wet since the mailman left it where it could get rained on. But everything inside was safe and dry; just the cuteness on the outside was smeared from the rain. Anyways I was very excited to open up my package and see all of the great things my buddy sent me. She did a really good job at getting things that are perfect for me! I will be sharing my reveal post with you all VERY soon!

Now enjoy your freebies, but remember to leave feedback!

It's Coming!

A week from now I will be meeting some of my new kiddos. We have Meet the Teacher Night next Thursday. I am so excited to meet all of the new kiddos and learn their personalities. I have been busy working away turning my room into a robot oasis! It is coming out great! I can't wait to show the reveal, but it is not quite there yet. I am spending some more time this weekend working on it so maybe it will all come together this weekend and I can reveal!

I have also been very busy working on the lesson planning side of things. I am determined to be more prepared and organized this year!

Because I am so excited for the upcoming year I am making my Daily freebies a little better. I am going to post one new product for free and one old product for free. Both products will remain free for approximately four hours just like the previous ones. All I ask is that you leave some feedback! This pattern will continue up until I go back to school! Enjoy!
